We are excited to welcome Autumn to The Ladybug Project Inc. today; she starts her Drexel Universit co-op employment with us! Throughout the next six months, Autumn will be planning outreach events, including a high-end fundraising event. In addition to gaining development and project management skills, she will be able to give back to Equatorial Guinea - a country she worked in, in 2008. Welcome Autumn!

Michelle, our FGCU Intern, was invited to attend tthe FGCU President's dinner tonight as a Ladybug Project Club representative! Congratulations, Michelle!
 
 
We are excited to welcome Elise Mantell to our staff! She will be serving as a volunteer Public Health Grant Writer as part of our 2011-2012 initiative to widen our income sources. 

This initiative, launched last month, brings our grant writing and outreach potential to three individuals, each of which are working in concert and individually to help attract funding sources to our cause!

We love acknowledging the dedication and hard work that our volunteers put into our projects...and now we have a new way of honoring their efforts: the President's Volunteer Service Award! That's right - from now on, any volunteer hours completed through our programs will be tallied towards earning a prestigious award!

We're so excited that Michelle and Stacie, two Florida Gulf Coast University students, volunteered with us this summer to complete their service-learning requirements! Stacie has been working on outreach programs with us while Michelle has started the great process of building up a Ladybug Project university student club!

We are excited to announce our new partnership with the Ghanaian registered NGO Bediako YouthAid Foundation! In addition, we are proud to report on the development of two unique internship opportunities that we have developed together with the YouthAid Foundation: our AIDS/HIV Health Educator Internship and our Teaching Internships, both of which take place in the Jasika-area of Ghana, West Africa!
