Tonight we held our third and last board meeting for 2011! We discussed all of the exciting things happening with the Ladybug  Project, nominated additional community members to join us on the board, and made organizational plans for 2012! From our board to your family: Happy Holidays!

Tonight we honored our Florida-area volunteers and directors by hosting a holiday party! Fun was had by all, and we can't wait till next year!

We are excited to announce that in a last push to get supplies and monetary funding for The Ladybug Project in 2011, we were able to collect $1,700 in school supplies and $900 in monetary donations!!! Thanks everyone for your help!

Tonight, Peter from our Board of Directors and several of our FGCU volunteers got together and packaged up over 800 pounds of supplies for our schools in Equatorial Guinea! The items include soccer outfits for the school, clothes for the teachers, healthcare supplies for the clinic, and hundreds of pounds of school supplies, will be sent using donated shipping to Luba in Equatorial Guinea, and then driven by volunteers to the Moka Village!

We are excited to announce that we have launched our 2012 Linked Campaign, designed to connect US schools to our West African project sites! Want to take part? Check out what it's all about!

Last week, Deme one of our volunteers, visited our project sites in Equatorial Guinea! As part of our ongoing effort to provide only sustainable and necessary aid, we work with on-the-ground volunteers to complete at least one visit per year to each of our project sites. During these trips, we assess the impacts of our aid and work with the local community to improve our giving.

We are excited to welcome Autumn to The Ladybug Project Inc. today; she starts her Drexel Universit co-op employment with us! Throughout the next six months, Autumn will be planning outreach events, including a high-end fundraising event. In addition to gaining development and project management skills, she will be able to give back to Equatorial Guinea - a country she worked in, in 2008. Welcome Autumn!
