Education projects in Madagascar
Rural Teacher Network
Preparations for the Rural Teacher Network began in 2010, and starting in 2012, we hope to launch this innovative, scalable, and cost-efficient program which will not only connect rural teachers like never before, but collect the first baseline data on northern, rural school learning rates in Madagascar.
Region: northern Madagascar Beneficiaries: 200+ urban volunteers, 800-1000 rural teachers, ~80,000 rural students. | Diego Suarez Renovation Project
The Centro de Formation Proffesionalle is a high school in Diego Suarez with over 1,500 students. The school hasn't been renovated since 1960, and is virtually falling apart. In the past we have donated desks and supplies to the school and in 2012, we plan to begin securing permission to undertake larger renovations on the property.

Mahamasina School
Located in the village of Mahamasina on the outskirts of the Ankarana National Park, we have been sponsoring this primary school since July 2010 with supply donations. This school will also be participating in our Rural Teacher Network.

Jasikan Education Internship
Working in partnership with the Bediako YouthAid Foundation (registered NGO in Ghana), we have been offering teaching placements and educational internships to individuals aged 21 and up in Jasikan-area schools (Ghana) since July 2011.
