HIV and AIDS Health Educator Internships - Ghana, West Africa
Since July 2011, The Ladybug Project Inc. has partnered with the Ghana-based Bediako YouthAid Foundation and together, we have created a highly selective Health Educator Internship program. We are looking for interns aged 21 and older intent on moving forward in the fields of education, healthcare, or international development and relations; a strong belief in community participation and grassroots advancement; ability to work with a multi-cultural team and in a developing country; and some prior experience working or living overseas.
We do not accept everyone to our internship, as we seek only the most committed volunteers for our Ghanaian project sites. In addition, we ask that interns plan on spending a minimum of three months with our organization, however, shorter internships will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If you wish to apply to our internship program, please read the following packet and submit a resume and cover letter to our Executive Director (Kim Reuter) at kereuter@theladybugproject.com.
For more information on the Health Educator Internships, which will involve teaching HIV/AIDS preventation information and working in the local communities of the Jasikan area of Ghana, please read our Ghana Internship Program guide:
