The Moka Pre-School
The Moka pre-school sits in a small building behind an old farmhouse courtyard and past a couple of resident goats. The villages youngest residents, about 25 tiny little children attend this school wearing matching red and white checkered tunics.
Unfortunately, the classroom is mostly empty, save for a series of mini benches, a few antique looking shelves, a pile of boxes, and a small chalkboard haphazardly balanced on a wheelbarrow looking piece of furniture. The teacher is a wonderful lady who teaches her children with great enthusiasm and was eager to show us her classroom.
How we want to help the clinic:
The Ladybug Project would like to facilitate the supply of basic classroom furniture including hooks to hang bags, a proper chalkboard, a desk for the teacher, storage shelves for supplies, and plastic bins to store supplies.
In addition, The Ladybug Project would like to provide supplies as requested by the teacher, raincoats for the children, and uniforms for the two teachers.
How you can help the school: We are actively accepting supply donations for this initiative. For information on how you can donate supplies, please email us (ladybug.project.eg@gmail.com) or visit our Donation page!
