In-Country Liaisons: Madagascar and Equatorial Guinea
Do you live in Madagascar or Equatorial Guinea? Do you occassionally work in Madagascar or Equatorial Guinea?
We are looking for part-time liaisons who are interested in volunteering for The Ladybug Project. Work duties will vary and will depend on your time-commitment, location, and ability to work with the local population. We are looking for individuals that are motivated, kind, open-minded, and able to work independently. Knowledge of the local language a plus, but not necessary.
This is an unpaid position, however, project-related personal costs may be reimbursed (phone usage, in-country travel, etc.). You must be living or working in these countries independently of The Ladybug Project (we unfortunately cannot provide living or visa assistance at this time). Supply Transportation Volunteers: United States, Madagascar, and Equatorial Guinea
If you meet one of the following criteria, you are elligible for this position:
1) Do you fly regularly (weekly, monthly, or yearly) between Florida and Texas?
2) Do you fly regularly (weekly, monthly, or yearly) between the United States and Madagascar?
3) Do you fly regularly (weekly, monthly, or yearly) between the United States and Equatorial Guinea?
If any of the above statements apply to you, we are desperately looking for volunteers who are willing to transport supplies via their airplane luggage. Supplies will never be personal in nature, will be accompanied by a customs letter (to present in the case of customs issues), and you will have free reign to give up the items if an airline questions their nature. In addition, you have to right to refuse to transport items at your own will.
As a volunteer, you will assist The Ladybug Project by drastically decreasing our shipping costs (we often ship to Houston), and will be an invaluable cornerstone in our USA-Equatorial Guinea initiatives (there are virtually no postal services reaching Equatorial Guinea and our only way to get supplies into the country is to fly them in).

Grant Writers
This position is remote position; you can be based anywhere in the world. We are looking for grant writers (preferably experienced) who are skilled at seeking out funding opportunities, researching funding opportunities, and drafting grant proposals/applications. This person will work closely with our Executive Director and while the position is not paid (and must be done for the love of helping the project), incentive-based grant writing can be considered.
This is a part to full-time position (pending your availability), and we request that you stay with the project for several months. We will train you in our organizational structure and expect that you work independently.

Fundraising managers.
This position is a remote position, and can be where you live. In essence, this position is open to individuals who are talented at fundraising, or would like to fundraise in our honor. Examples include running concession stands at major event arenas, and donating a portion of the profits to our project.

Translators
We are looking for translators who are fluent in a foreign language (not English). As a translator, you will translate Ladybug Project information into your language of proficiency. Content to be translated includes website text and other miscellaneous documents. This is an "on-call" position; translation services will be required as their need arises.

English Tutor/Conversation Partners: May 2011 to August 2011
We are looking for someone in the South-West Florida area (Fort Myers) who would be willing to tutor our Equatoguinean student and/or practice English comprehension and speaking skills in anticipation of his TOEFL exam which he will take in July or August. You must be enthusiastic, patient, interested in cultural exchange, reliable, and a clear English speaker. No prior experience needed.
